Pros and cons of The Lost Chapter app for iPhone and iPad

The Lost Chapter app good for

Very nice game, not too easy and not too difficult, I really enjoyed playing until the end :-) . Thanks
First of all: amazing graphic! I loved the photo-realistic characters and the settings. Intriguing storyline, cute classic-video-game that reminds you of Zelda. Riddles are easy enough to not annoy you (I made 80% of the game w/out clues) bit difficult enough to challenge you. Really enjoyed the game! Normally Im not patient enough for a lot of P&C games with as Im mostly clueless. But TLC kept me going :D
I dont usually leave comments or ratings for games, but this one deserved it. This is a really great game. The puzzles are hard, but still manageable and really imaginative. The only downsides were one puzzle in the computer game in which the commands were just painful to use (the barrels and the holes), and the final puzzle with the skulls (Never understood the mechanics and had to search for spoilers. Even with the spoilers, I couldnt get it.). Overall, this is a great game that deserves a big thumbs up. :)
I wasnt expecting too much from this game, as I didnt know the company and there was only one review. I was pleasantly surprised, this was very interesting! Great storey, loved the mini games as they actually made you think. Much better than most of the adventure games out. Worth every penny!
I liked the games within games, this puzzle mystery was really well done! Took me a few days to complete casually.
Very difficult to solve some of these scenes, and Im a pretty seasoned adventure gamer. It would be nice if there were : 1) hints 2)instructions for ALL mini games (including snake - horrible game that didnt make sense) 3) less dialogue Not a fan of the 8bit game in game, plus it was too hard to figure out at times- glad there were some skips on that. I also found myself googling the walk through most of the game. If it wasnt for that I wouldve given up. Storyline is good, twist good, but I agree with a previous review that keeping track of characters was confusing, not to mention I didnt development an emotional attachment to them- probably bc during the dialogue there is only a still pic of them while dialogue is typed out; so when the twist came, I was like, Oh.....K....? (but there was another little twist at the very end {the girl} which I liked) All that said, I still gave it 4 stars bc graphics were great, liked the story, the effort and teamwork to make these games is something to applaud, and I would like to see more games in the future

Some bad moments

Im playing on a fully updated iPad 2. The controls are glitchy and lag in the mini game to the point of being frustrating. However, the last straw is that on day two after I get the safe code (from the computer crash data), the safe will not let me change any of the numbers (they just remain 0000). Theres clearly a programming glitch on my device where the game doesnt register any taps on the safe. I even tried reinstalling, but no luck. This halts gameplay and is completely unacceptable for a paid game!!
I hated the long verbal exchanges but enjoyed the game until it would not allow me to either enter a code or travel to a location that was next on the list. Ive restarted the game twice and both times it has become disabled at some point and there is no way to continue the game...I kinda feel like Ive wasted a lot of time for nothing!
The game play is awkward and clunky, and the dialogue is painfully bad. I played for maybe 30 minutes because the style is similar to the Phoenix Wright games--I thought maybe a generic version of that would be amusing, but its not even the slightest bit entertaining. The mini-game people keep mentioning was especially unbearable. Stupendously awful controls, and NOT fun. I actually found the clues to be a little too easy too, although I didnt play for long, so maybe it gets more difficult.
This is half a mystery game and half a 1980s Zelda type game. If you like both, youll probably enjoy this game. If you dont, dont bother with it.
Second time this "mini-game" appeared Ive just closed the app and removed it. Bored to the extreme.
Excelent game, very intriguing and with very good plot twists
